NOTE: If you already have a totally SMOOTH and GLOSSY surface you can skip to Step 6 of the application process. Use of a NIOSH approved mask in a well ventilated area when spraying is recommended, esp. for the Speed Clear.
1. Surface should be clean and dry.
2. Shake well and remove cap from Killer Black, then test the paint by spraying.
3. Spray in temp from 60-90 F and allow adequate ventilation (avoid breathing fumes). Hold nozzle about 10" from surface: Press down on valve and spray evenly until surface is covered. Apply thin second coat for added protection after 15 minutes.
4. After use turn can upside down and spray to clear nozzle, then replace cap.
5. Repeat from #3-4 now using Killer Lightning Clear, making sure to spray a smooth surface.
6. After dry (1 day), make sure surface is clean and spray using Killer Chrome very lightly (see video, above left). Wipe clean after 15 min. or longer with clean flannel or cotton cloth.
7. Repeat from #3-4 using Killer Lightning Clear again, making sure to spray a smooth surface. Cures in 1 day.
8. OPTIONAL: After 1 coat of Lightning Clear, you may spray with a Killer Candy to tint your chrome shine; spray until desired effect is achieved. Then finish with Lightning Clear or Speed Clear.
9. OPTIONAL: After step 7, you may finish with Killer Speed Clear to add a durable automotive top coat with Killer Speeed Clear: a) Take red button from cap and attach to pin on bottom of can; b) Place can upside down (with top cap on), then press red button with palm of your hand until it stops; c) Now shake can for 2 minutes at least before spraying over your project. Speed Clear can must be used within 6 hours of activating.
NOTE: Lightning Clear is highly recommended for Killer Chrome, but optional for all other chrome spray can paints.
